thinDVB-H™

thinDVB-H™ consists of various middleware components that address the capture, processing and display of IP data packets delivered via an DVB IPDC stream conforming to the DVB-H specifications. The TMI solution, show below in an IPDC software stack is further explored below. The modular and flexible architecture of thinDVB-H™ allows it to be easily ported to different platforms and interface easily with all 3rd party codecs and DRM solutions.
The presentation layer (UI and ESG Navigation) is heavily dependent on the device manufacturer or network operator, and thus TMI’s solution offers a base for custom and customer branded applications. thinDVB-H™ middleware includes functionality for tuning DVB-H receivers receiving the Electronic Service Guide (ESG) data, playing audio and video received over a broadcast bearer and parsing XML-based ESG. It also takes care of routing IP data to application level.
